Music Background:

At age of seven, Marlaw had interest on singing and he loved it.
He used to sing in church and copies from big musicians like Michael Jackson, Bob Marley, R. Kelly, Lucky Dube, and many more...
At the beginning of his secondary education he started writing his own songs. He did this always at school and perform to his friends and sometimes the entire school.
Early 2004 he joined Coca Cola Popstars competition in East Africa. It was held in three countrys; Kenya Tanzania and Uganda. Its target was to get a group of three artists from each country. But Marlaw didn't make it. "The judges told me not to give up on music and for them I was one among the best. It stayed in my mind and gave courage to my music everyday."
Immediately after high school he released his first song called Bembeleza in the end of February 2007. The song was very popular in East Africa and Central South. "It was really a good start for my music journey."
